Terrorism-the biggest challenge, monthly lectures series

Terrorism is an ideological distortion – Vidhan Sabha Speaker

Vidhan Sabha Speaker of Chhattisgarh Mr. Gaurishankar Agrawal said that terrorism is a challenge at international level for human society. Terrorism is actually an ideological distortion. Vidhan Sabha Speaker was addressing the Gyananjali monthly lecture series on topic ‘Terrorism- the biggest challenge’ organized by Prajapita Brahmakumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya on Sunday evening at Choubey Colony, when he expressed aforementioned thoughts.
He said that terrorism is the attempt of mischievous elements to distort human ideologies. It consumes money, force and intelligence in bulk but does no good to humanity. India has the culture of world fraternity that aims for peace and prosperity of entire human society. He said that to combat terrorism, we need to establish an ideal example of deed, conduct and behavior. At the onset, he inaugurated the lecture series by lighting traditional lamps.
This Gyananjali Monthly Lecture Series is organized on first Sunday of every month. On the occasion, Chief Lokayukta Justice Shambhunath Shrivastav, Director General of Public Prosecution (IPS) M. W. Ansari, Chief Regional Coordinator Indore Zone Brahmakumari Hemlata, and Regional Administrator Raipur Brahmakumari Kamla Didi were also present.
On the occasion, Vidhan Sabha Speaker said that entire world is facing the challenge of terrorism. Earlier terrorism had caused social inequality. But in present scenario, terrorism is degrading human values and creating alarming situation for people. Giving example of southern area of state Sarguja, he said that Sarguja was also struck with same kind of problem but people living there did not assimilate such activities, which is why terrorism almost came to an end there.
Mr Agrawal said that dissatisfaction and disappointment leads to terrorism. Earlier person were the unit of society. There used to be a genuine concern at home for upbringing, conduct and deeds of a person. But nowadays this culture is lacking. Before independence, there was a conspiracy to change our mentality and ideals. He added that India has had a prestigious history. People from entire world used to look up to Takshshila, Nalanda for education and knowledge. He insisted that if every person strives to live an ideal life with pious thoughts, then it would greatly contribute in minimizing terrorism. Sense of world fraternity should be assimilated in thoughts and deeds so as to solve the problem of terrorism. Certainly, the change is mindset will slowly and steadily lead to victory over terrorism.
On the occasion, Chief Lokayukta Justice Shambhunath Shrivastav, Director General of Public Prosecution (IPS) M. W. Ansari, Chief Regional Coordinator Indore Zone Bramhakumari Hemlata, and Regional Administrator Raipur Bramhakumari Kamla Didi also expressed their views.
