Message from Rajyogini Dadi Janki Ji, Chief of Brahma Kumaris

My Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Greetings of Peace and Love!

Cleanliness and sanitation are fundamental to the development of our country, and for the better, brighter and healthier future of our children. In the past four years, India has made rapid strides towards sanitation for all under the Swachh Bharat Mission, which has made sanitation a national people’s movement. It is our responsibility to ensure that we continue to play our part in ensuring cleanliness and sanitation in our surroundings.

As we approach the 149th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and the fourth anniversary of the Swachh Bharat Mission, the Government of India, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is re-launching the Swachhata Hi Seva mass movement from 15th September leading up to 2nd October 2018. During this period, all of us, citizens of India, should go out and play our part towards making India clean by offering shramdaan for swachhata in our localities and neighborhoods. We should also encourage our relatives, friends, colleagues and neighbors to come out and offer shramdaan by organizing and participating in cleanliness drives.

I expect to interact with the Prime Minister on the morning of 15th September through Video Conferencing, and I will share with him my personal commitment to the cause of a Swachh Bharat, as well as the work being done by the members and followers of Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya all over India to keep India clean. The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan will be executed by the Headquarters Committee headed by Joint Chief Dadi Ratan Mohini Ji, Program Manager BK Munni Ji, Secretary General BK Nirwair, Executive Secretary BK Mruthyunjaya, Multi Media Chief BK Karuna and BK Bharat. We are also constituting state wise committees at our centers to execute the cleanliness drives at various places in India. Immediately after the interaction with PM, I will offer shramdaan by leading a cleanliness drive at the Municipal Areas of Abu Road, Mount Abu, Swaroopganj, Palanpur and Ambaji Temple.

I urge all of you to organize similar cleanliness drives on the same day in your localities and neighborhoods, and spread the message of swachhata to one and all. I also urge you to capture pictures of these activities and post these on social media with the hashtag #SHS2018. You may also upload these on MyGov.

Let us ensure that Brahma Kumaris and all our members and followers wholeheartedly participate in Swachhata Hi Seva 2018, and play our role in achieving a Swachh Bharat of Mahatma Gandhi’s dream.
