Transport Wing Programmes at Mauritius

The main programme was a Conference on ‘Creating a Culture of Safe Driving through Self-Transformation’ which was held at Serge Constantin Theatre, Vacoas, Mauritius on Monday 5 October 2015 and was graced by the presence of Hon. Santaram Baboo – Minister of Art & Culture, Govt. of Mauritius; His Worship the Mayor Mr. Navin Ramsoondar – Vacoas/Phoenix; Mr Dharamdeo Nathoo – Asst. Director, Traffic Management & Road Safety Unit; Mr Ashok Matar – Chief Police Inspector Traffic Branch, Police HQ and BK Divyaprabha – National Coordinator, Transport Wing, Brahma Kumaris.

Celestial Artists Group presented a beautiful song on importance of Road Safety in local language – Creol, BK Kavita from Borivali, Mumbai spoke regarding the Road Safety project in the UN context, BK Pradeep from Curepipe, Mauritius shared the local services for Road Safety, while Arshika, a student read out the UN Child Declaration for Road Safety. Bro. E.V. Gireesh explained the importance of and techniques of self transformation for road safety. BK Dave was the MC for the evening and the programme was covered by local media.
